Science Business Competition
Oxfordshire Bioscience
Networks's Life Sciences Business Plan competition aims to address
the equity gap head on, and is targeted at companies trying to raise
finance in the range £250k - £2.5m.
The competition,
co-sponsored by BFAS, the South East's "Biotechnology Financial
Advisory Service", seeks commercially viable business plan entrants
for products and services in the life sciences industry such as
pharmaceuticals and drugs, diagnostics, medical equipment and
devices, research services, and software. Entrants should be based
in the SEEDA region which includes Oxon, Bucks, Berks, Hants,
Surrey, Sussex and Kent and registered as core members of South East
Health Technologies Alliance (registration is free on-line at

ENTERPRISE HUB SHOWCASE

The South
East England Development Agency (SEEDA) Enterprise Hub Network hosted its first ever company Showcase event at the QEII Conference
Centre, Westminster, on Thursday 22nd February 2007. 40
of the UK’s most pioneering fast growth potential businesses highlighted
their products and services.
Path Intelligence beat five other Hub
companies vying to pick up a £25,000 cash prize and potential
investment as part of the Hub Showcase Challenge. Chaired by BBC
Radio 4 Business presenter, Peter Day, the event included a welcome
introduction by James Brathwaite CBE, Chairman of SEEDA, and a keynote
speech by Luke Johnson, entrepreneur and Chairman of Channel 4. See the
